Meet Dr. Jud Heugel

Hi, I’m Jud.

I’m a pediatrician, endurance athlete, startup leader, coach, husband, and dad living in the Pacific Northwest.

But here’s the part I used to hide: I live with my own mental health challenges.

This reality has shaped my life more than any race or job title. And it’s the reason I built The Balanced Athlete — to show athletes and their supporters that mental health isn’t just something to “manage,” it’s something you can harness for strength and performance.
